The Calicut art Gallery came alive from 22nd to the 25th of March when the Chitrarekha Academy of Painting & Drawing conducted a painting exhibition – dubbed ‘Life Colors’- for young artists to display their artistic and imaginative abilities. The program drew fourteen talented youngsters to the venue including three prodigal artists who had proven track record of their gifts as students of Vismayam College of Art & Media. Anagha and Ambadi had been Diploma students of Multimedia, while Amina Safana was a DArch student of the College.

The framed paintings were rich in color and Ambadi tended to lean towards abstraction whereas Anagha and Amina touched nature and folklore themes.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri E.P. Prithvirajan (Asst. Comissioner of Police) and Shri Sooraj (RJ, Red FM) at the Art Gallery premises while an appreciative public gathering was present. Amritha TV did a live coverage of the function and a short video clip is posted here along with snapshots that highlight the creative efforts of inspired young talent.
